FAQs

A few things you might be wondering

  • In your initial consultation/health audit, we take the time to explore your full health story. This includes your symptoms, medical history, family background, lifestyle, and what’s been going on for you. We’ll also talk about your goals and any underlying factors that may be influencing your health.

For in person appointments, live blood analysis may also be included where appropriate. This involves observing a small drop of blood under a microscope and can offer additional insight into areas such as hydration, inflammation, nutrient status, and overall balance. If you’re booked for live blood analysis, it’s recommended that you avoid eating for around four hours beforehand to support clearer observations.

After the session, I’ll create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs. We’ll go through it together and set realistic, achievable steps to move forward.

During follow up appointments, we check in on your progress, acknowledge what’s working, and adjust anything that needs refining. The aim is to give you the tools, confidence, and support to take an active role in your health, at a pace that feels right for you.

  • The number of sessions depends on your individual needs and goals. Most people begin with an initial consultation, followed by a couple of follow up appointments over the first few months.

If your concerns are more complex or longer term, more regular support may be helpful at the beginning. We’ll talk this through together and adjust the approach as we go.

Once you’re feeling more settled, occasional check ins every few months can help maintain progress and prevent setbacks. The frequency and pace are always guided by what feels right for you.

  • Before your first consultation, you’ll be asked to complete a health questionnaire. This helps me understand your background and make the most of our time together.

If you have access to recent blood tests or relevant medical results, you’re welcome to share those as well.

For in person appointments that include live blood analysis, it’s recommended that you avoid eating for around four hours beforehand, as this supports clearer observations.

  • Yes. Naturopathic care is designed to work alongside conventional medical care, not replace it.

I’m trained to look at the whole person and consider your current medications, medical history, and any existing conditions. All recommendations are carefully checked for potential interactions or contraindications, and safety is always a priority.

If something isn’t appropriate for you, it won’t be recommended. Collaboration and caution are always at the forefront.

  • While I enjoy meeting clients in person, I understand that’s not always possible. Online consultations are available for those outside of Auckland or for anyone who prefers the flexibility of a virtual appointment.

  • While much of my work focuses on women’s health, supporting families through all stages of life is really important to me. I work with people of all genders and ages, and my approach is always tailored to the individual.

My aim is to support wellbeing across the whole family, helping everyone feel more balanced, supported, and able to thrive. If you’re unsure whether naturopathic care is right for you or a family member, you’re welcome to get in touch and we can talk it through.

  • Yes. Many people seek naturopathic care during periods of stress, fatigue, or burnout.

Support is always guided by where you’re at. This may include gentle nutritional and herbal support, nervous system care, sleep support, and small, realistic lifestyle adjustments. The focus is on helping you feel more regulated and supported, rather than adding more to your plate.

Everything is paced carefully, with your capacity and wellbeing front of mind.

  • No. You don’t need to have a diagnosis or a specific concern to book an appointment.

Some people come with clear symptoms they want support with, while others are feeling run down, out of balance, or simply want to better understand their health. Both are welcome.

Naturopathic care can support clarity, prevention, and overall wellbeing, not just symptom management.

  • You can book directly through the booking page, where you’ll find options for both Browns Bay and Hobsonville or virtual consultations. From there, you can check availability and secure your appointment online.

If you’re unsure which consultation type is right for you, you’re welcome to get in touch or book a free discovery call. I’m happy to help guide you toward the option that best suits your needs.

  • Sauna sessions aren’t booked online at this stage, and safety is always the priority.

If you’re curious about whether sauna sessions could be a good fit for you, or have questions about safety, you’re welcome to get in touch. We can talk through your health history, any considerations such as blood pressure or pregnancy, and whether sauna use would be appropriate for you.

If you’re interested in booking, please get in touch and we can talk through the next steps.
